The funds will go towards the Family Centre Expansion Project. The Children's Cottage deals with preventing harm and neglect to all children and building strong families through support and services, respite programs and crisis nurseries.

Christmas 2015 we celebrated by giving a child in need the gift of hope. In 2006 Stephen McPhee had a dream of helping children in need in his community and province. The Nathan O'Brien Children's Foundation teamed up with Stephen's Backpacks to sponsor and pack 400 backpacks for children in need aged 4-6

Feeding hungry kids is how Brown Bagging builds a better future.

The EvenStart Child Development Centre will be home to Calgary's children who are challenged by trauma, violence, abuse, and poverty. The creation of the Centre's new building will be backed by the wisdom of 20 years of experience in providing service to at-risk children.

The Kidzfirst Grassroots Development Foundation is an organization dedicated to encouraging "sport for life" through the provision of development programming and opportunities to players and coaches across a multi-sport platform. Working with local athletic development partners, we provide development opportunities to players/coaches and associations through the generous support of our program partners, sponsors and community.

The Calgary Food Bank is the city's main charitable food hub and the most accessible food bank in Calgary serving families, individuals and organizations. We are not a government or United Way agency. We rely solely on the generous support of the community. Together, we fight hunger and its root causes because no one should go hungry.

The Magic of Christmas is a 100% volunteer, non-denominational charity based in the city of Calgary Every Christmas Eve, we load up Calgary Transit buses, magically transformed into "reindeer buses," with hundreds of gifts and volunteers dressed as Santa and his elves. Then, we do what we do best - deliver Christmas spirit into the homes and hearts of those who need it most. It's magic you'll want to be part of.

Discovery House is about hope and healing. Its a social profit organization providing a continuum of care to women and their children fleeing domestic violence. Offering safe places for women and children to call home while they begin rebuilding their lives. Providing mothers access to counselling support and programs and working directly with children, to mitigate the effects of trauma and prevent the cycle from repeating.

The funds will be designated toward the Bridge of Hope program, which, in part, subsidizes the rents of single moms in Calgary. As each mom moves into market housing it is the goal of Emma's house, with the help of social workers and mentor groups, to attain long-term financial and family stability.
